Some of the youth and Andrew are off to CANTY this weekend with a load of other YP from local Baptist churches. This year they are taking over the facilities at Victoria Baptist Church in Deal. Pray for them - and for the leaders!

Richard Dawkins has long been recognised as Britain’s grumpiest atheist, our very own Darwinian Victor Meldrew, screeching ‘I don’t believe it’ at anyone who will listen. Readers of his recent God Delusion will have enjoyed him harrumphing his way through modern religion, vanquishing the faithful by the power of ridicule and rhetoric alone.

Well, we had a good evening on the 2nd at Margate ten pin bowling alley. Certainly a good crowd with Mypee, Luke, Stefan, Graham, McGee, Jodie, Joy and Alison plus myself and Rick. Jodie came along as a friend of Mypee and Joy and Alison as friends of McGee. We had some good fun and some half decent scores. Stefan was "Mr. Lightning" on the basketball game after the bowling.

Someone's House at 1930. Willing volunteers to host this inaugural Youth Chill Evening, please let me know.

Young People 15-25 are invited to an evening bowling at Margate (basically, if you are in Yr 11 at school or older). If you have your own transport, great, we'll see you there. If not, meet at the Chapel at 19:00, I'll have a 7 seater. I'll ask some of the other multi-seat car owners if they can help with transport as well.

The Band will provide music for the remembrance day service at the war memorial. Meet at 10:35 to start playing at 10:45. We will be playing from the old red books. Numbers 2 and 98 then 769 during the service and we will warm up with numbers 765, 323 and 325.

The Band will be playing at Elvington Canival on Saturday. Meet at 1430, start playing (4 x 20 minute sets) from 1500. Meeting point TBC at Friday's practice.

As our church teenagers get older and complete their GCSEs we seem to have increasingly less activities designed specifically for them. This was brought home to me on Sunday last and re-inforced by our own older children.
